Meet Vince

Greetings My fellow New Castle County Neighbors! Since I am asking for the PRIVILEGE of representing you and your familys interests as a member of The New Castle County Council for the "brand" new 7 th District, I thought that a conversation about my background would give you some insight into why I believe that I have the qualifications to EARN your vote this coming November 2 nd .

I was born in New York City and after high school. I enlisted in The United States Marine Corps. During my enlistment I served as a member of The United States Marine Corps Drill Team at Marine Barracks, Washington, DC, and as a member of a communications platoon in The Headquarters Company of The 2 nd Battalion, 8 th Marine Regiment, Camp Lejeune, NC, where I attained the rank of corporal and saw action in operation "Blue bat" with The 2 nd Provisional Marine Force in Beirut Lebanon ( 1958). After my discharge from the service I returned to New York and returned to my education, marriage and a new family. On graduation My family and I moved to New Jersey where we lived for many years. During That period I served in civic and political leadership positions such as President of my home owners Association, elected democrat committeeman and President of the Burlington County Young Democrats as well as holding a position with The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of water Control.

I lived in Philadelphia, PA during my employment with the U.S. Department of Defense. During that period I Completed my College education at LaSalle College (now University) with graduate studies at Penn State University, Served as a Shop Steward, Chief Steward and President of my local union (AFGE Local #1698).

Soon after my retirement from the federal civil service, I moved to Delaware and have continued in leadership positions as The president of my Homeowners association and various Green Party of Delaware positions.

I believe that the knowledge, skills and abilities that I describe above and acquired over my life experiences qualifies me to EARN your VOTE during this campaign season.

I will be what the 7 th District needs! A FULL TIME, NOT A PART TIME Council Person representing The people of The 7 th District all of the time. Not just part of the Time.

Look for me! I will be out in the neighborhoods meeting and talking with my neighbors, through this spring, summer and autumn, as I work to EARN the PRIVILEDGE of representing YOUR interests and ONLY YOUR interests.
