The meeting of the Coordinating Committee of the Green Party of Delaware

Present: Karen Lienau, Philip Goldstein, David McCorquodale, Bernie August, Jamie Igou (observer)

Absent: Desmond Kahn

1. David M. gave two reports

   a. the treasury: thanks to the recent mailing, the bank account of the GPDE now has over $1100.

   b. the GP national national committee: there was recently an issue over the director’s comments on the fitness of a certain GP presidential candidate.

2. David M. reported on the mailing

   a. In January David mailed a questionnaire to all those registered as Green Party voters.

   b. A number of the respondents indicated an interest in attending a meeting of a Green Party

   c. The CC has, as a result, tentatively scheduled meetings

      1) Newark – This meeting will take place Thurs., Mar. 20 or Sat. Mar 22, at the Adrianna Café, if it is available.

      2) Sussex and Kent Counties – David will contact the respondents to establish a time and place for the meeting.

3. Annual meeting of the GPDE

   a. The annual convention was scheduled for Saturday, May 10.

   b. The agenda have yet been determined.

   c. David will reserve a hall at the Unitarian church or at the United Church of Christ in Newark.

   d. Bernie August will act as the second representative to the National committee until an election can take place at the annual meeting.

4. The national convention:

   a. The GPDE is now entitled to send eight delegates to the national convention in July.

   b. Several respondents to the mailing indicated an interest in attending the national convention. Some of them will require financial assistance.

5. The next meeting of the coordinating committee was scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 4:00, the home of Bernie August.
